North High has two concert bands. They both meet during first period and start at the conclusion of marching band. Mr. Henderson conducts the freshman band and Mr. Massey conducts the varsity band. The varsity concert band performs three concerts and plays at graduation. The freshman band will perform at three concerts. Both bands perform an array of new and classic concert band literature. Some music theory and history will be incorporated into this class. Students registered for either concert band are encouraged to audition for All-State and other honor bands that take place throughout the year.
